Appearance Defect Inspection System - Introduction

The Appearance Defect Inspection System is an intelligent quality inspection solution based on machine vision technology. It consists of four parts: imaging unit, triggering and conveying unit, processing unit and rejection unit (optional). It replaces manual visual inspection and provides in-line, automated 100% inspection of product appearance quality. Industrial cameras and dedicated light sources capture high-definition images of the product surface; image processing combined with deep-learning algorithms then automatically identifies appearance defects such as scratches, contamination, color deviation, dents, burrs, missing material and defective printing, and defective parts are automatically rejected and counted by category. The solution is used for appearance quality control of products in the electronics and electrical appliance, plastic part, metal part, and packaging and printing industries. It helps reduce inspection cost, reduce missed detections and misjudgements, and keep outgoing quality stable.
