The VCB assembly equipment is a dedicated automated unit designed for the upstream assembly processes of medium-voltage vacuum circuit breakers. It automatically assembles the enclosure, main shaft, EP embedded poles, and Core Drive (CD) for 12 kV, 25/31.5 kA, 630–1,250 A VCBs.

The equipment covers the complete process, including manual or AGV loading, positioning, bolt tightening, grease application, thread-locking adhesive application, blind riveting, unloading, palletizing, storage, and AGV transfer, while meeting EHS safety requirements.

Intelligent Logistics and Feeding

Supports both manual and AGV loading. Dual-bin replenishment enables continuous operation, while multi-level audible and visual alarms provide material-shortage warnings. Finished products automatically request AGV transfer and interface with the moving-line material request system.

High Precision and Full Traceability

The vision system identifies product variants and automatically selects the appropriate fixture. Bolt-tightening torque is controlled within ±5%, with all results recorded in the database for complete assembly traceability.

01、How does the equipment connect with the existing production line?

The equipment seamlessly connects with the existing moving line via laser-guided AGV; a material-call touchscreen computer is configured at the ST1 station, where operators call the AGV for empty/full exchange with a residual-material return logic; finished assemblies automatically call the AGV for transfer onto the line.

02、How is assembly quality assured, and is the data traceable?

Vision recognition automatically selects and configures fixtures; the number of bolt fastenings and tightening torque are automatically recorded (deviation ±5%) and saved to the equipment database; the dimensional deviation of the EP three-phase outlet terminals after fastening is ≤ ±1 mm; defective products are automatically isolated with rework reasons displayed, and the entire process is traceable.

03、What safety protection measures does the equipment have?

Equipped with safety fencing ≥1.8 m, safety light curtains, a vision safety protection system, safety interlock and E-stop buttons, LOTO power-cut lockout, etc.; the equipment stops immediately when personnel enter the hazardous area, complying with Siemens EHS and GB/ISO safety standards.

04、How are feeding and logistics designed?

Supports manual and AGV dual-mode loading; the main shaft, EP, etc. use dual-bin feeding with replenishment without stopping; material level ≤5 pieces triggers a yellow-light pre-warning, ≤1 piece triggers an audible and visual alarm; when the unloading container is full, it automatically calls the AGV for transfer; the WIP area is equipped with a transfer rack capable of storing more than 50 circuit breakers.
