What is the difference between FAT and SAT?-ACA Automation

ACA does the factory acceptance test (FAT) at its factory. The FAT verifies the equipment functions, safety systems, cycle time, product quality, continuous operation, changeover, test results, NG handling, and data traceability.

The site acceptance test (SAT) takes place at the customer factory. After installation and utility connection, the SAT verifies operation in the actual production environment. It also verifies connections to upstream equipment, downstream equipment, the MES, and site facilities. The technical agreement must specify the acceptance items and acceptance criteria.
